abundantly clear to me that women must forget the ‘joy’ of the 3rd trimester in order to have more kids. Because right now? I am leaning towards this is the only time I am doing this.
I ache in places I have never before, and hopefully never will again, ache. I can’t reach my feet to put on my shoes or slippers 99% of the time. Last weekend’s leg shaving and toe nail clipping extravaganza? Not gonna happen again!
Getting off the sofa requires a team effort and a strong hand from Simon. I can get out of straight backed chairs and my office chair. But the sofa has nothing to push against!
And the best part?
I still have about 10 weeks to go.
Eye on the prize Robyn. Eye on the prize…
From the 26th week on, my hands were numb most of the time. My fingers went up two sizes, so I couldn’t even wear the fake rings that I bought for myself when the real ones didn’t fit. Shoes were a horror, but flip flops sucked too, because of my ever growing feet. I stopped bothering with shaving and really caring about my lower half because it was pointless.
I also gained 63 pounds (almost 30 kgs) for a baby that didn’t weigh 7 (barely 3). 10 months later, I’m only down 44 and I was still about 15 over when I got pregnant.
You do remember it all, but it really is a very short time, and the baby really is worth all of it, so it doesn’t matter as much. Or at least to me it doesn’t/didn’t. Eye on the prize – you can do it! 🙂
