Been A Busy Couple of Days…

hence no update.

Not that anything exciting has happened, just busy at work and then went to the in-laws for the weekend, so no time to update.

I am collecting headlines from Tuesday and Wednesday.  So far I have the Belfast Telegraph and The Observer.  My mom is suppose to be sending me Jacksonville.  I forgot to ask my dad or my brothers and sisters!  I could have had a lot of them!

And my aunt sent me this link: Headlines Around the World which I think is just so neat.

Truly, history has been made.

And I, for one, am finally proud of my country once again.  Maybe being an American in Belfast (TM) won’t be so bad from now on…

So, The Months of Election Crap is Over…

And now we have the self righteous bullshit.

The people saying ‘I voted for whom I voted for because I studied the issues!’  and ‘I didn’t let the media sway me one bit!’

Bullshit.  You can’t be alive these days without being influenced by the media.  And if that many people really did research the issues, it would be the first time in history so many did.

I don’t know why people need to justify Obama’s victory.  What’s the difference why you voted for him? The important thing is that you did.  And American finally did something to be proud of, rather than the shame we’ve had for 8+ years at who was leading our country.

I hope to hell he lives up to his potential.  And that the Secret Service is extra vigilant.

A Good Day’s Shopping

Yesterday was the day our Board papers go out for the meeting next week.  Its a very long very busy very stressful day for me.  And yesterday was the worst ever.

I had put one set of papers in the copier and headed off for lunch.  Got back and realized I had set the copier wrong and the page that was suppose to be on red paper was on white and a page that was suppose to be on white paper was red.  Luckily it was just those two pages, so I copied them again correctly and switched them out when binding.

Then, as I was binding, I realized I had forgotten two documents.  Luckily they were at the end of the papers, so easy enough to switch out.

Then, after I had bound one of the other sets of papers, for a different company, I realized I had forgotten 2 documents.  So I had to unbind all of them (16 sets!) and add those docs in.  Thoee missing docs were in the front of that set of papers.

So, yeah, not my best day of Board paper creation ever.  But I got it done by 4:10.  My deadline for posting is 4:30.  Well done me!

Another rainy day in Belfast.

Clocks go back in the UK this weekend.  So when I get up at 5, it will actually be 6? Is that right?  So does this mean I’ll get up at 4? I hate this stuff.

In other news, please don’t send me sensationalist emails until you check the facts.  About 99% of them are a.) not true and b.) about 1000000 years old anyway.  So I’ve probably already seen it.

Simon and I are trying a new recipe tonight. Stir fry mince with broccoli. The last one on the page. Looks Yummy!
